Lights kept on in daylight to satisfy broadcast lighting requirements.
Starting point: an elite, broadcast-grade LED floodlight rig draws roughly 150–280 kW depending on stadium size and lux category — 220 kW here — at around 2 SEK/kWh. Older metal-halide rigs draw two to three times as much.
