Why We Started LivePictureAI

We love sports. Few things match the thrill of a live game where you never know what happens next — the tension, the roar of the crowd, the pulse-pounding moments that keep you on the edge of your seat.

But our founder, Andreas Lännerberg, had long been frustrated by how difficult it was to follow the action when lighting conditions were challenging. Harsh sunlight would create intensely bright areas and deep shadows across the pitch — and the camera optics simply couldn't keep up, leaving viewers straining to see the play.

Then, in early 2025, breakthroughs in machine learning — more commonly known as AI — opened a door that hadn't existed before. For the first time, Andreas saw a real opportunity to solve the problem. He founded LivePictureAI with a clear mission: to train custom models and build the infrastructure that enables production companies, TV networks, and sports organizations to dramatically enhance their live images — in real time, without the need for expensive crews or equipment.
